NUMTECH: Provision of an air quality information system in Nigeria for the information of TOTAL staff and their families
The TOTAL Group, a major global player in energy, wanted to inform the employees of its TOTAL E&P subsidiary in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and their families, about the levels of air pollutants (PM2.5 and PM10 dust, and the VOC, NOx and SO2 gases) to which they may be exposed depending on their location. And this, taking into account all the emissaries in the area (emissions from all sources in the area being monitored, and not just emissions from TOTAL installations).
In 2017, air quality sensors and an air quality modeling system were deployed in the city of Port Harcourt in order to restore these levels, in real time, historically, but also in forecast.
Today, NUMTECH ensures the operational functioning of this system.
