AIRARO participated in the 3 SWACs carried out in French Polynesia, in BoraBora, Tetiaroa, and for the Taaone hospital in Tahiti, a project co-financed by ADEME under the heat fund.

The first 3 SWACs in the world, in BoraBora for the Intercontinental Thalasso Resort & Spa, in Tetiaroa for the Teh Brando hotel, and for the public hospital of French Polynesia, this last project with a power of 6 MWf, a budget of €30 million, was delivered in 2022, and with the more than 10 GWh of electricity consumption avoided for the production of cold necessary for air conditioning. This project alone allows the transition of 2% of the total electricity of the island of Tahiti.
